The more I think about it, the more I think Q's lawyers got blind-sided. If they knew of the offending passage, and knew that Lee was going to make a big deal about it, they would have prepared the jury for it by mentioning it in opening statement and by bringing it up in his direct testimony. The purpose, of course, is to (1) steal thunder and (2) gain credibility as a party that is up front about everything, good and bad, which is the only way to try a jury trial.

It doesn't appear from the news reports that this took place, so am putting my bet on the side of Q having been blind-sided.

Hope I'm wrong, hard to see everything from this perch, but the tea leaves are not favorable.
