One thing that I actually haven't done is to add up the medication costs, not just for the HIV meds, but also for the prophylactic meds (and the costs for lab tests and doctor costs) and the meds prescribed for complications (eg. antibiotics, vitamins, nutrients, anabolic drugs, etc.). Most of these people just do not have the money (of course, some have private ins, some are on Medicaid; those on Soc Sec disability don't get Medicare coverage for 2 years). Something is wrong with the system. Can anybody help me add up the medication costs for a typical HIV/AIDS patient? Are there any other doctors on this thread to help me out?
