Sounds like you've never played poker before, Richard. Ever thought of the possibility that this ad may represent little more than an effort to buy some time? With a history of not making its deadlines on new release dates, Jobs is sticking to his guns with the release of OS8, Rhapsody DR1, and now this ad campaign. So far Apple is taking little steps, but they're steps (and steps forward, even!), so I'm perfectly happy to wait around and see what happens with Steve, Larry, Bill, and Rhapsody.

BTW, I cut the full-page ad off the back of yesterday's NY Times business section and stuck it up on my cubicle wall; it really classes up the joint. Not as much as a new PowerMac would, but....

Good luck on the 1st, everyone.

Mark
