Hard to tell with this crowd of miscreants. There is some (ok, most are pro-pro-pro-Israel) opining that the drum beating and the moving of 2 aircraft carriers and patriot missiles to the ME is done to force Iran to back down on nuclear enrichment.

Dunno.

Another alternative scenario is that this is a last ditch effort to use 2007 and 2008 to enrich big oil and big military-industrial-complex companies at the pig trough that is the Bush Administration.
