That's true-the learned treatises exception to the hearsay rule. Or simply an authoritative text in the field.

With another expert, Q could at least have been able to explain why the statement is wrong. This way, the expert who wrote it has to explain away his own statement, i.e., admit it is wrong then say why he wrote something which is not true.
