Interesting stuff. Here is a major oil company that intends to repurchase a boat load of its shares in the first quarter of 2007 at a time when I suppose it expects the price to fall. news.tradingcharts.com The signs are certainly sugggestive of a concerted effort to keep the price of oil low. It is good for all investors in the short run. Countries that depend on energy for their revenue, like Iran and Venezuela, are going to feel the pain.
