Bush is 3 years too late. The damage is done. Iraq cannot be a "victory" for him. Only a huge loss. But he refuses to accept this and is willing to throw all remaining available troops into the cauldron of fire. Bush has ignored every expert's advice and thnks he is some kind of Napoleon. but he has no knack for war planning whatsoever because he's delusional and egotistical. Bush's greatest mistakes which doomed the whoole effort took place in the beginning, when he and his people crafted a big fat lie and scare tactic, then snubbed the UN and many allies and boasted that they could succeeed easily, also dreaming of great oil profits I'm sure. The whole thing collapsed because the mission they imagined was just a fantasy. The real Iraq was a very different place that they imagined.
