I hear you. That is perfectly understandable.

I have a former partner is Seattle. He has a Fatboy and his wife has a Softail. They love riding, and went to Sturgis last year or the year before (I forget). They really do not like riding in and around Seattle.

I never would have gotten a bike if I had not moved to E. Washington.

The riding around here, however, is simply wonderful. I just love riding the county roads, through the wheat fields and into the Palouse country. There is very little traffic and the roads are a lot of fun. Have to watch out during July/early August because that is wheat harvest and there are a lot of 18 year old kids driving wheat trucks all over the place, but aside from that, there's not much to worry about from a traffic perspective.

I rode over into Idaho in September, and it was wonderful. Plan to go back and do that again this summer.

As for Sturgis, hmmmmmm. I'm not sure I'm ready for that. I might be too strait-laced for that little event.
