Pretty much all religions seem to consider mankind "special" as the only inteligent beings in the universe, and assign us a special status with their God or Gods. We know now that it's quite likely that we're only one of millions or even billions of intelligences in the universe.

So, what makes us special? When we finally DO find proof of alien intelligences, what will it do to religion?
