I can see it very easily - all the bad news is out - it would not be unusual at all to see it climb steadily with good prospects for orders, etc. May see some good news out of the conf call. On the other hand, I have seen many stocks drop big on this type of news and rebound off their lows slightly same day. Then erode further over several months until stabilize before climb back. You also have stocks that get crushed in a final blowout and then begin a slow climb back. I suspect Ascend is capable of climbing off this low but will need some good news over next several weeks to get it going and change perception. If we're not at the bottom, I'm betting we're close. If you had bought this stock in Nov 1995 - you'd be sitting on $0 capital gain. It's not like this hasn't been a troubled stock for some time now - as early as May 1996, this stock hit 70, hot 80 in late Jan 1997 and has bounced around in a general decline since then. 40 was a formidable level to break, perhaps 30 will be too.
