It's all baloney as far as I'm concerned. Either there is a problem with carbon emissions or there isn't. If there is a problem, well all sorts of REAL action can be taken almost immediately with little impact on the human race. OK some favorite hobby horses of the ruling elites get crushed but that is no big deal. Some "free market" ideas for a start. Like do we really need to import runner beans from Tanzania into Europe by airfreight? Couldn't we just grow them near where the consumer is?? OK some multinational companies lose profits and average joe gets a job supporting his local economy, is that so terribly bad?? Non essential travel could be curtailed overnight. Hardly needs to be a world threatening issue even if carbon emissions really are a problem. People have to change, that is all.
