After reading your note, Gloop, I KNOW you will find another great gal when you are ready to find her. Go and do some fun things on your own for a bit though...Get that past behind you! I watched one son go through all of that, and tried not to offer suggestions unless he asked (most of the time, bit my tongue)....He dated several, a couple we couldn't stand, but didn't say anything...Later, he asked "why didn't you say anything..." He had said that to us after his wife left him too....We said "would you have listened?"....he thought and said "probably not"..... So all we said in regard to these two in particular..."that's what we thought. So we didn't"
He eventually found a great gal, (and vice versa, even if he is my son)...They met on eHarmony....believe it or not. They were both totally gunshy....We all laugh now...and yes, they are happy. Only Bad Thing, and Only Good Thing...she has 4 daughters and he has two kids. We adore her daughters! Combining 6 kids, and all that goes with divorces, is tough, but they are working things out. |
