November 27, 2006 - Chairman of Mikros Honored
Rear Admiral Wayne E. Meyer, Chairman of the Board of Mikros, was honored on November 27, 2006 when the U.S. Navy's Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Mike Mullen announced the naming of the Aegis Destroyer DDG-108 the USS Wayne E. Meyer.

Mikros Systems Corporation demonstrated the ADEPT® equipment to the U.S. Surface Forces-Pacific this week. It is planned to present the equipment to the Atlantic Fleet next week. The concept of operation as well as applicability to "Distance Support" was shown. These are preliminary steps to actively demonstrating the equipment aboard an active Aegis ship which should take place in the near future.

October 2006 - Mikros Invited Aboard USS BATAAN
Mikros Systems Corporation was invited aboard "the amphibious carrier" USS BATAAN (LHD-5). Similar to last months visit on "the attack aircraft carrier" USS GEORGE WASHINGTON, the Mikros survey team boarded BATAAN with special purpose test equipment and software to study the propagation and bulkhead penetration of wireless data networks.



September 2006 - Mikros Welcomed Aboard USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN)
In support of Mikros Systems Corporation's Radar Wireless Spectral Efficiency (RWSE) contract, Mikros engineers were dispatched to USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN-73) to survey the wireless infrastructure on board. The survey team used special purpose test equipment and software to evaluate the introduction of wireless data networks and the interactions between wireless networks and existing ship systems. Large amounts of practical data were obtained to support our RWSE engineering task for Navy's command.

Fall 2006 - Mikros Announces the Hiring of a Field Applications Engineer

Mikros is pleased to announce the addition of Mark Laureigh to our team. As an experienced US Navy SPY-1A Fire Controlman, Mark’s primary responsibility will be fielding ADEPT® to the fleet. Mark comes to Mikros with almost 9 years of service and a multitude of decorations. Mark’s service includes 4 years aboard USS TICONDEROGA CG-47, the first Aegis cruiser, maintaining, aligning and operating the AEGIS SPY-1A RADAR system.

Tom Meaney, President of Mikros Systems said “Mark’s saltwater experience will be a great benefit to both Mikros and the AEGIS community.” Welcome Mark!

September 18-21, 2006

Mikros Systems Corporation exhibited at Autotestcon 2006, in Anaheim, California, the premier test equipment trade show for military users. In support of this year’s theme, “Integrating maintenance into a netcentric interoperable environment”, Mikros demonstrated the capability of ADEPT® to provide distance support to today’s operators. Linking an ADEPT® unit in Anaheim, California with a similar unit in Fort Washington, PA, Mikros demonstrated the ability to remotely view and control ADEPT® over great distances.

While at Autotestcon, Mikros was able to meet with several prospective key customers and suppliers. Members of the Mikros team also attended several seminars and workshops dedicated to better testing solutions for military and government users.
