"You cannot change how someone feels, you can change how someone thinks if they are rational"

I believe that all feeling derives from thought. We only fear what we believe to be a threat. Otherwise, it is excitement or boredom or a boring orgasm.

At the instinctive level our "thoughts" are simply there--or simply very very fast. But the sense of danger still derives from a "judgement".

All sorts of psychological problems can be addressed by looking at the underlying beliefs. Feelings flow from beliefs. If a stranger pulls a gun on you, your adrenaline will go crazy. If your wife does it in a rehearsed play, you will want to strip all her clothes off. I think therefore I eat. It is an old axiom.
