It's sad for me to say this, but Democrats have done more in their first 100 hours to help us get off the oil addiction than Republicans in the last 6 years. What idiots Republicans are. They are dinosaurs, just like GM and Ford. The whole American public is clamoring for ending our oil addiction and yet Republicans, GM, and Ford simply don't get it. Its remarkable how out of touch they've become.......but then we knew that posting here. Plus, outside of the South Republicans can be very different from their current image.. When I lived in MN and CA, I truly was an independent because there were a number of good Republicans in those states from which to choose. But these guys from TX [please excuse me CJ] and some of the other southern states, for me, they are an anathema. I can't even begin to understand how they think. Thank God I know other Texans like CJ.......I'd think the whole state was like that. But what I still have trouble understanding is how we voted Bush into office. His elections should not have even been close. Its why I seriously considered leaving the country. I don't know how we can avoid making a similar mistake in the future. It really worries me.
