Geode, let's get all boring and scientific. Just how would you measure global warming? Global average temperature is no good, you say.

Maybe it's like faith - we just need to believe in the almighty GW and send our money to the priests who will tell us what incantations to chant to save the world from the dreaded GW.

Do you have any method of measuring it?

Ocean depth? That isn't showing significant progress. Imagine how much the depth increased at the end of the last glaciation. We should expect a bit of up and down. I'm sure you understand that climate isn't a static, balanced thing and never was.

It has been a one-way freezing process since Earth was a red hot ball of molten dead star. I suppose you understand the process is a cooling one, not a balanced one, with the atmosphere being stripped and permanently buried.
