They were bought out by Smiths PLC some years back.
If you go thru just about any airport around the world, you will see one or more of their Ionscan machines in the security screening area.

Anyway, GE is buying a piece of Smiths>
General Electric Co. agreed to buy the aerospace division of British industrial firm Smiths Group PLC for $4.8 billion, marking a shift in strategy for the British company and a return to expanding in Europe for GE.

Smiths had long avoided breaking itself up, until its recent decision to sell Smiths Aerospace, which has become a secondary supplier of aircraft components ranging from landing-gear parts to propellers. GE, Fairfield, Connecticut, for years has been interested in acquiring the division, people familiar with the situation said.
