Nothing will be done to update and increase Iraq's oil production infrastructure as long as hostilities continue. "Getting the oil" there won't be happening any time soon. Pipelines and other facilities are extremely susceptible to sabotage.

As for All these claims are greatly overdone, but nevertheless, it is a fact that if you live in Iraq you believe the oil companies, or the Americans, are there to get the oil....

I think it's pretty obvious to everyone that if the ME didn't hold the oil deposits that it does (without which, the West's economies and standards of living would collapse), then no one would give a damn about Ali Baba herding camels across the sand dunes.
