Saddam had nothing to do with 9-11, was not in with Al Qaida, was an enemy of Islamic extremists, was in a box (even the White House said so in 2001) and was no imminent threat. He just needed to be frisked in case he had any WMD left over from the early 90's. The war was totally unnecessary and foolish as hell, especially since we had virtually no allies and no nation-rebuilding support from the UN, who are the only ones who know how to do that kind of thing.
