There is a considerable difference between bells tolling one time a WEEK, versus five times a DAY.....And I don't know of any bells that are on a PA system.

One time a week to be called to pray, if the people can't remember or whatever the reason would be OK....BUT NOT FIVE TIMES A DAY!

I don't recall that the Synagogues' need to remind their members to get to the synagogue on time.

It looks to me that the Muslims have MANY MANY demands of everyone else. Do they pray at work? Do they repay the company the time off that they took? When non-Muslim women go to many of their countries, they have to cover up. We in this country don't make ANYONE cover up head to toe. We don't separate the sexes in church. Pretty much, we live and let live.

Many times, especially in the last couple of years, this little ditty runs through my head:

"Give em' an inch, they will take a mile"....

I doubt VERY seriously the Muslim communities would appreciate our putting EACH OF OUR various denominations of church bells and "songs" on a PA System on LOUD for as long as the Muslim call is (2 minutes each of the 5 times a day?).....do you?

If Muslims aren't permitted to issue their prayer calls over their PA's, should churches then be prohibited from tolling their bells for Sunday services? I agree with you if you think that the same rules should apply to all.
