Do you know of any case, just one, where this has occurred? Or is this just some theoretical thing like Tim's democracy of jihadists?

Sure, taxes have negative affects. And those things need to be weighed. But making up little stories to "prove" a point lends little to the discussion. Especially ones that aren't even vaguely plausible.
