Iranians marched in SUPPORT of the USA right after 9-11. Iran offered to close their borders and repulse Al Qaida and Taliban fighters for the USA. The rightwing Mullahs were losing power and especially young Iranians wanted a more pro-western government. Then came Bush's "Axis Of Evil" speech. A collosal blunder. That along with invading Iraq killed the moderate movement in Iran and alowed a firebrand radical to win the presidency. No way he would have won if Bush had't saber rattled at Iran. No way.
