longnshort specifically posted that he cuts employees when taxes are raised. That boldly implies that taxes are his primary determining factor for his employment levels.

Perhaps if you take his comment very literally and use the most extreme interpretation of it, and figure it as "I always fire employees whenever taxes go up, no matter how small the increase", but I doubt he meant that, and if he is talking about a real company I doubt he does that.
