Slan, after Chavez's announcement yesterday I would say that is very wise.

One can see a trend in play here. I can see a trend whereby large corporations will be scape goated in the name of social fairness by leaders of 3rd world countries around the world.

Chavez is also trying to set himself up for president for life i.e. dictator. The people in many third world countires have had to deal with massive inequality and poverty from dicatators like Mugabe, Castro to Mobutu and many corporations.

Many countries in South America have been run by military juntas like Pinochet in chile forever, and oligarchies, so in Venezuala the dirt poor people will go along with anyone they think is helping them.

gw's caustic foreign policy doesn't help our image, or the situation either, in the rest of the world.

This should give Canadian companies a premium.
