Global Crossing's Global Partner Program Surpasses 50-Partner Milestone

53 Service Providers Now Sell Global Crossing Fast-Track Services to Enterprise Customers

FLORHAM PARK, N.J., Jan. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Global Crossing (Nasdaq: GLBC - News), a leading global IP solutions provider, today announced there are now 53 service providers offering its Fast-Track Services(TM) portfolio to enterprise customers. The Global Partner Program (GPP) has successfully deployed global enterprise solutions to more than 400 end-user enterprises since the program was launched in October 2004.
"Global Crossing is an increasingly attractive partner for regional service providers serving the global enterprise market," commented Camille Mendler, vice president of enterprise research at Yankee Group. "The Global Partner Program delivers an attractive range of services across Global Crossing's global MPLS network coupled with extensive partner support."

The Global Partner Program helps regional service providers extend their global reach quickly and avoid the high expense and long lead times generally associated with international service expansion. It enables these service providers to meet their enterprise customers' growing need for global connectivity with seamless, end-to-end converged Internet Protocol (IP) solutions. The Fast-Track Services(TM) portfolio includes IP Virtual Private Network (IP VPN), Voice over IP (VoIP), collaboration services, Dedicated Internet Access, International Private Line, Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), Frame Relay (FR) and managed services. Global Crossing product enhancements are available to all GPP partners as they are developed, enhancing each partner's ability to up-sell within its current customer base and beyond.

These world-class services are provided via Global Crossing's fully meshed, global IP-based Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network, which reaches more than 600 cities in 60 countries, and transports more than 2.5 billion VoIP minutes per month. Global Crossing iMPLS(TM) Service is a key differentiator in the marketplace, giving GPP partners intelligent, flexible and transparent network-to-network interconnection (NNI) options. It also provides superior quality and highly scalable IP VPN connectivity, along with some of the most extensive end-to-end Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in the industry.

"GPP helps service providers participate in opportunities that require an international product offering to meet the needs of their most valued business customers," said Omar Altaji, senior vice president, Global Crossing GPP. "The program uniquely broadens the typical 'customer-supplier' relationship to define objectives and goals, win new business and achieve business plans. Once they have the global connectivity solutions their customers need, GPP partners can concentrate on adding value through professional services and managed services offerings."

"Partnering with Global Crossing adds depth not only to our offerings but also to the support behind those offerings," said Bill Chang, executive vice president of business at SingTel, a GPP partner since June 2006. SingTel is one of Asia's leading communications providers with significant operations in Singapore and Australia and operations and investments around the world. "It's a win-win situation. We stay close to our customers, fully understand their business needs, and stay in step with them as they grow their businesses globally."

The GPP offers a comprehensive support model for partners, including commercial engagement managers, sales engineers and customer support managers who bring deep experience in sales and life-cycle management. The program includes co-marketing and event planning; conducting comprehensive training sessions by job function; and working with partners' sales teams to identify enterprise sales opportunities. It also includes providing technical guidance and network solutions design; assisting with end-user questions; and facilitating network implementation. On-premise Global Crossing personnel provide training and work closely with service delivery and Network Operations Center (NOC) personnel to ensure implementation and maintenance processes are properly integrated.

"The Global Partner Program is structured to help partners realize its benefits quickly during each phase of the relationship," said Altaji. "Clearly, this approach is resonating in the marketplace, and as we continue to gain traction by adding partners, we'll likewise expand the number of end-customer solutions deployed around the world."

Automated, integrated systems that facilitate on-time provisioning, service turn-up and accurate billing contribute to a premier customer experience. Global Crossing provides its partners with the award-winning uCommand® Web-based account management tool, which provides GPP partners with pricing, ordering, provisioning, reporting, billing and trouble management capabilities for all Fast-Track products. Additionally, uCommand is available for e-bonding, allowing partners to extend the value of uCommand to their end-users seamlessly using their own portal. This functionality provides OSS integration between Global Crossing and its GPP partners, further streamlining and simplifying all back-office functionality.
