Most S. American countries have free markets.

They are not for the most part nearly totally unfree, but they are far less free then what would be optimal (arguably even the US is far less free then optimal although not to the same degree as SA) and this has slowed down their economic growth and allowed more opportunity for corruption.


Sorry. I keep forgetting that your concept of free markets and the rest of the world's concept of free markets are two different things.

Let me rephrase.........most SA countries have 'free' markets not unlike the one in the US.
