It deals with people assumed to be communicating with terrorists. The government has made some rather awesome mistakes in it's decisions about who is, and who is not, a terrorist, not that I hold that against them- mistakes will be made. And I want the government to monitor such communications, but I also want the government monitoring monitored (when they run open loop it's not pretty)- so let them show their proof, and get court approval for such invasions. I think this can only make the process better, since the government will be forced to get it's ducks in a row- and there ARE emergency procedures in place to allow the government quick access to such spying.
