The Lewiston Grade is one tough stretch of road. I've never driven it in anything but clear, dry weather. I can't imagine trying to drive it after snow. My partner has ridden his bicycle up the grade.

For those GITS not familiar with it, here's a pic:





My SIL lives up the Clearwater River, on US-12, so she does not have to contend with driving the Grade.
