I didn't say that people will not charitably sell things at below market rates, or even give them away for free, but rising prices are a more reliable way to indicate what is really needed, and to encourage people to get it there. Price gouging in the face of natural disasters is a very nasty business. You are taking people at the worst moment in their lives, probably with very limited accessible funds and facing hell on earth, and they are paying 10X somethings real worth because they are desperate. The slime that do that deserve to be jailed, for a long time. We are a community Tim, not a science project.
