college doesn't let you screw around if you have an idea of what you want to do in life. like eng, accountant, finance, medical etc. you start immediately building for a career from day one as enter college. there is no way you can become an eng or accountant , or medical doctor , etc unless you buckle down immediately. Those who screw around may have developed those habits in high school, great students in college preparation classes but not thinking about a major. perhaps it was the high school, their parents, and lack of anyone giving them guidance.. then they get shipped off to freedom and are expected to know what to do in their lives and find a play ground as long as they get through numerous elected courses that lead no where in preparing them for the future.
