If it sells out before noon, it only tells you that people are eager to grab goods at below market prices.

As I pointed out - "And demand isn't simply units. If your giving it away at below market rates you inflate demand, people who might get any benefit from the good might buy it, not just people who need it most or quickest."

Also if the price is kept low, and the supplies keep being sold out before noon, you have to pull supplies from other areas. Its not like there is an infinte supply, in many cases there might be a relatively small supply available, to quickly match an increased order. Sure you can put in a bigger order, but if your supply sells out quickly and it takes three weeks to get more the bigger order isn't exactly a quick solution.
