PerkinElmer to Ramp Up NightHunter Production
CARLSBAD, Calif., Dec. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XENONICS HOLDINGS, INC. (Amex: XNN - News), a leader in advanced illumination and low light viewing technology, is pleased to announce it has extended its exclusive manufacturing agreement with PerkinElmer (NYSE: PKI - News). The Company has issued a purchase order with PKI for 1,200 NightHunterII to be delivered between January 2007 and March 31, 2007. The Company has significantly reduced its inventory and must ramp up manufacturing to meet its second quarter forecast. Xenonics expects to place purchase orders with PerkinElmer throughout the year to develop a continued flow of product. At the same time, Xenonics and PerkinElmer are in the process of developing a manufacturing agreement to include other new products including SuperVision(TM). The first three thousand SuperVision(TM) devises will be produced at the Xenonics facility in Carlsbad, California beginning in January 2007.
