Blaze DFM Opens San Diego Development and Support Center
1:00 PM EST January 19, 2007

Blaze DFM, Inc., the electrical DFM company, today announced the opening of a development and support center in San Diego, California. The facility will be managed by Dr. Cho Moon. Over the past two years, Dr. Moon has led research and development for timing analysis and infrastructure as well as multiple customer product tapeout engagements.

"With the successful launch of the company and shipment of our first products behind us, the time is right to open a facility in San Diego," remarked Jacob Jacobsson, president and CEO at Blaze. "Much of our initial intellectual property was developed at, and licensed from, the University of California at San Diego (UCSD), and we want to continue to tap into the DFM talent pool there. Also, one of our largest customers, Qualcomm, is located in San Diego and as they proliferate the use of Blaze products, the support requirements justify having a local office. The semiconductor and EDA industries have acknowledged the importance of electrical DFM, a concept pioneered by Blaze, in addressing the ever-growing interdependencies between design and manufacturing."

"I look forward to the programs slated for the new development center, and to continuing to realize Blaze's technology and product vision," commented Dr. Andrew B. Kahng, chairman and chief technologist at Blaze.

"As a startup, it was critical to ship our first products and make them successful," said Dr. Moon. "Going forward, we have the opportunity to transform our wealth of untapped intellectual property into additional high-impact, electrical DFM products."

The Blaze DFM San Diego Development Center is located at 5830 Oberlin Drive, Suite 202, San Diego, CA 92121. Main: 858-625-7000. Fax: 858-552-8161.
