I don't support the notion of slavery but it seems to me that some of the NAACP leaders do.

In my area, there are increasing numbers of aspiring minority students doing great things. But guess who their biggest critics are? Yepper, the Gangsta non-achievers accusing them of the "Uncle Tom" syndrome.

When I coached Little League baseball in the mid 1990's I had a team with all walks of life. I stressed to them that beyond baseball, anything is possible to achieve in your lives if you apply yourselves.

Some heeded the word and succeeded, some didn't. By and large, the ones who failed were the kids from a single family environment. Yes, the ones I had to pick up and drive to practices and games. It's painful to see some of my former players fail in life but I did try.

That's why I detest the like of Jesse Jackass and Al Sharptongue constantly beating the drum for their "oppressed" people.
