Patton But the main difference between liberals and conservatives when it comes to war is that conservatives would rather die on their feet than live on their knees, while liberals would rather live on their knees than die on their feet. Conservatives believe that freedom is never free, while liberals never saw anything they didn't want to pay for using someone else's money -- or life. Check it out. How many soldiers, sailors, airmen, coasties, or Marines are liberals? And every one of them a volunteer. What did you ever volunteer for? Baking cookies?
