"There are numerous options for what to do in Iraq from here that are different"

I didn't say "different". Anybody can propose something "different".

You miss the entire point of this phase of the democratizing of Iraq. Firstly, you have repeated an obvious falsehood over and over, ad nauseum. Three years in Iraq have NOT been a failure. They have been an incredible success. Iraq now has a democracy and an elected government. This next phase of rousting out those opposed to democracy is a necessary followup to the incredible progress that has been made in only three years.

Also, for you to tell those troops that their sacrifices failed to make progress is more than a complete misrepresentation and fabrication--it is a reprehensible insult.

No 1 is not incompatible with my statement

No 2 is not incompatible with my statement. Although it is ridiculous to think the UN will secure Baghdad.

No 3 is ongoing. It requires a lot of manpower to do all those things. When Baghdad is secured all elements of control, rule, and governance will be ratcheted up. You don't separate the cream from the milk until you've done other things. You must bring the cow home from the pasture and you must milk the cow. And don't forget the pail.

But perhaps you have no desire to be convinced that America is on the right path??
