I agree, it's hard to make sense of what Hillary's philosophical position is on Iraq, and thus how she would handle a similar situation in the future. At least Edwards has been clear that he was wrong and wouldn't repeat the error in the future. Obama never had to vote so he can come in with a straight position too.

Primary voters will have an interesting choice: backing Hillary is the easy no-brainer move, just tracking the momentum. Or will enough say nah, enough of the faces and names from the past, we want something new and the broader US electorate will too?

Since primaries often run on short-term sentiment, the latter could be a powerful force if Hillary isn't polling strongly ahead of the first half-dozen contests.
