General overview on junior nickel plays which I posted on the SH FNI thread: FNI is my top pick right now. And thanks Max for the confirmation on FNI. I took note!

Here is my take. We are in the middle of an absolutly huge shortage in nickel. LME's actual stocks are around 4,000 tons. So like uranium HUGE speculation is moving into the nickel market. Right now! No telling how high nickel prices could go.

So if you want to buy a nickel proxy which companies should one own? I am somewhat familiar with many of the favorites, so lets look at a few.

As an introductory sentence, let me say the momo and attention is mostly on FNI. FNI should be your first pick! Below may be some perspective. And provide one with a bit of diversity which is always good.

LBE: $2.49 is drifting on low volume having already made its run. FNI is probably a better play even though it is only .96.

I sold all my LBE at $2.76 around the first of 2007 and then bought FNI at about .55. I told everyone on the SI thread where I post I did that because I knew full well LBE was not 5 times better than FNI and probably is not better at all. I told my friends on my SI thread I thought that was a good play. Many of my friends did the same as I.

My SI thread-very good thread with lots of pros:

Subject 55997

BMC: $.96 and moving very nicely with the nickel price surge, but on low volume. Now remember a few months ago (1st of Octobr) LBE and BMC were the same price (.75 -and my friends and I felt BMC and LBE were equal-I bought equal shares of both) and then LBE took off and BMC sat. Both are junior producers like FNI. I am buying some BMC now, but mainly own FNI.

FNX which FNI is modeled after is $18.10 right now!

CML hit some nice drill holes, but does not move--I think it is permitting problems hurting them??

MUM has been making a stealth move up and might be good for some diversity .66.

NWI: this is a good nickel play as the are very soon (few days)going to spin off three nickel properties into a company called victory nickel. Owners of record will receive .75 shares of victory nickel for each share of NWI.

RNG is in production, but has forward sold their nickel very cheaply until aug of 07 and does not move too well.

As mentioned: A bunch of us in September went through about 20 nickel juniors and agreed unanamously the LBE and BMC , both at .75 at the time were the best of the crop. FNI I feel is better than both now.

So in conclusion, here is what I have done: my largest position is in FNI, by far. I also own NWI and BMC at about 2 to 1 and 3 to 1 ratios. I will buy RNG wts if I see RNG take off, but the strike price is $5 and the stock is $3. They have a large nickel operation and are getting ready to put a 100,000 oz heap leach gold property into production in Africa.

So I think, far and away, the best play in nickel juniors right now is FNI and I expect you will see it shoot right up past $2 in a few weeks or even days.

Do your own due diligence.
