Killing a born child is murder- but only because the state says it is. If the state allowed mothers to kill their child until the age of one, it wouldn't be murder if the state didn't call it murder. I really don't care when the state says a mother can get rid of unwanted children- I just want her to be able to do that, because I do think the unwanted child can pose a rather big risk to society. Their odds are not good. I think you labor under the impression that I don't believe an unborn child is a child. It's as much a child as any other child- but birth makes a nice easy distinction for the law, and I like nice easy distinctions (though I grant you, I guess I don't see a bundle of cells as a "child"- but that hardly matters, since it doesn't stay a bundle very long- and the way I view the cells has nothing to do with where I would terminate an unborn child's life).
