From Franks piece, just posted one pundits comments follow;

"Google's dominance of search and advertising is so profound that most competitors -- especially Yahoo -- would probably be better off NOT even attempting to compete and simply let Google handle search and advertising while Yahoo provides content. He's probably correct. Skrenta argues that even if services come along that are superior to Google's, in order to become dominant they'll have to overcome Google's brand recognition with users, which is almost impossible to do. So just being better than Google isn't enough."

In my opinion its the same battle that APPLE fought with IBM at the onset of computers. In this case Yahoo is Apple and Google is IBM.

I would not say that this game is anywhere near END GAME. In fact this games about to take the baton from Apple and the PC or MSN, and pass it back to a period where the above mentioned and others will become the News over the next 7 years.

There is plenty of money to be made around the bigger battle, our job is too find, where, how, and why.
