First introduced at the CES trade show in January 2007, the nüvi 680 retains all of the features that earned its predecessor an Editors' Choice. For example, the device has the same super-bright 4.3-inch white, backlit screen, a SiRF Star III GPS receiver, a Bluetooth speakerphone interface, and an MP3 player. I recently upgraded my phone to an LG LX9900 and am happy to say that based on the additional Bluetooth profiles enabled by Verizon on the phone, the Bluetooth interface is now fully functional, with all of the features supported by the nüvi 680. The call history list, as well as my phone directory, is now available when I pair the nüvi 680 with the phone. (Thanks, Verizon!) Since the majority of the nüvi 680's features mirror those of the 660, I'll focus mostly on the new location-based services (LBS).— Next: Locations, Locations, Locations!
