keep hearing this "political solution-only way" sound bite being repeated. You must listen to different broadcasts than I do. I haven't heard that. Can you give me examples of wars brought to a peaceful end with "political solutions"? If you are talking in terms of Iraq....well, I don't have one. Its a civil war.......between the Iraqi Sunnis and the Iraqi Shia. The US has no business being in the middle of a civil war. Why do some Republicans still think we should be in the middle of this civil war? Sounds good but it doesn't work. The war is over when one side loses and one side wins and the losing side thinks it is best not to continue fighting. Unfortunately that sometimes means the loser is annihilated. Sometimes that doesn't happen.......what comes to mind is Northern Ireland. There's a solution to that war but I am not sure how peaceful it is. I find it interesting how lightly you talk about annihilation. I wonder if you would be so cavalier if it were your kin being annihilated.
