Yeah but he'd be impeached even by Republicans and Republicans would lose big in 2008. People other than SMU wouldn't want his library and then how would he be able to build a bigger more expensive one than Poppy's. IMO, even if Dubya's game plan for Iran is essentially the same pack-o-lies strategy he used for Iraq, the mood of the country is vastly different. No one EVER talks about OBL any longer and 911 is a foggy memory that evokes more disinterest than sympathy or fear. Very few people were against going into Iraq and very few people realized what we were being pushed to do and how. This time around, the pushing is clear. Heck, even with actual nukes, the Bushies are making nice-nice with North Korea. It's not credible, after the revelation that Cheney nixed Iran's offers, that they can justify bombing civilians to smithereens over Iran's current lack of nukes. Jordan, Saudi Arabia want nukes as well. For the military-industrial complex I'd think that business opportunity would be more enticing than preventing Iran from having any.
