"I see you've turned into a Republican." Gee, AS. You have given some decent analysis of various issues. But Kerry ran a pretty inept campaign. It isn't like a swift boat type attack was unforeseen. Gore at least had the excuse that what happened to him was far worse than what Clinton got hit with. Kerry didn't have that excuse. Anything that didn't follow his carefully plotted scripts threw his campaign for a loop. The fact that he took over two years to come up with a response to the swift boaters speaks volumes. Two weeks would have been too long, but two years? He very well may make a fine president. But he can't campaign worth beans. Why should he be given a second shot?
