The conference is the largest ever held. The CMM booth is located in the conference center overflow area. The main auditorium was packed Sunday afternoon (standing room only) for the guest speakers.

Actually, it was the best time to visit the booths when a thousand or so attendees listened to the so-called experts (Grandich, Bishop, and others) discuss the future of gold, copper, uranium, US economy. I estimate that there were several thousand retail investors who attended on Sunday. The presidents of many juniors were in attendance, probably because it was Sunday?

Dropped by the CMM booth.

There was a steady stream of visitors. The big boss herself was there talking to visitors. One visitor was quite angry about the current situation; another visitor mentioned that he believes in her and the company fundamentals.

I chatted with her for a few minutes. She's either a very good actor, or, she really does believe in the company: she definitely believes that the SJ mine is the company maker and last drill results indicative about potential.

She was in Toronto last week to meet with analysts although I didn't get the impression that they wrote her any cheques. (Maybe they expect her to play by their rules?)

Someone asked her about the expiry date of the March warrants. She stated unequivocably that they are being exercised. They definitely appear to require the cash.

other notes ...

second drill on Peru site or soon to be on site;

second Peru drill permit approved last week;

Lamaque permit info (3-4 binders) submitted to Quebec Ministry of Mines on Jan. 3 or 4.

(All discussions & meetings with govt officials indicated that they could mine Lamaque on existing permit, then last minute, they were advised to submit application with support data;

fewer news releases in 2007 over 2006 with material info.

Lower expectations. (underpromise, overdeliver?); selling is mainly retail with short investment horizons;

Sigma waste material removal on schedule.

Monday should be interesting.
