Far rightwing hypocrites like Prolife support every war one can imagine, support cutting medical care to poor babies, support ignoring AIDS and famine crises, diss the UN, support toxic pollution, support the gun and tobacco lobby, but wrings its hands over pea-sized fertilized eggs from unwanted pregnancies, and wants to outlaw a woman's right to decide. These hypocrites are also against birth control and contraception.
The truth of the anti womans rights movement is that they dont really give a damn about babies. They just want women to be powerless. And no abortions are really of babies, they're of fertilized eggs, tiny little masses of cells, tadpole sized at the most. Late-term abortions are exceedingly rare and usually only carried out if the mother is going to die or something. That's another myth, that anyone is for late-term abortion. Of course not.
But bottomline, as Barry Goldwater said, the government has no right to tell a woman what she can do with her body, at least until the baby is truly a baby, that is very late-term, in which case no sane mother would want to abort anyway. |
