But that sure explains the dem victory this past fall.

My impression is that as high as those numbers were in November they've gone even higher as Bush's proposed Iraq strategy looks more and more as if he is simply dismissing the election.

And the Dems have improved their own image with their 100 day strategy.

But, like you, I had no idea the differences were that large. Given the volatility and variability in polls, that may not be the last word.

If you get a chance, read Krugman's NYTimes column today. It's on Bush's health care proposals (really just more tax breaks for the upper and raising taxes on middle income payers). It's quite good.
