Move to Honolulu. They just approved a new elevated rapid rail system from west Oahu to Waikiki. Est cost a mere $4.6 billion. Since nothing has ever been built like that by the State or County of Oahu that didn't go way over budget let's just round that figure off to $7B or so. Best guess is that the true cost of a trip on the rail is $200 R/T if it needs no maintenance in the first 10 years of operation. Such a deal! Even that figure leaves out the cost of servicing the $7B debt!!!!
