I agree with you. The President's role is to set a vision and agenda, then back the Congress in figuring out the details and laws to pass to make it happen. Bush has been playing both roles and doing both poorly. He has no real vision for energy independence and he has set no real goals that can be accomplished in the short term. And then his one contribution to energy independence was bulldozing a bill into law that gave oil companies $13B in tax breaks. What a fraud Bush is.
