>>As a general rule I am against government set price controls.<<

Well maybe you don't know much about health Care in general. Fee Schedules and price controls are the NORM. HELLO. Oh my gosh TIM. 25 to 38 percent on the dollar would be about the norm paid according to a health care fee schedule. Doesn't matter if it's medicare, Medi Cal, Workers' Compensation, Private Insurance. HELLO.

In part B medicare i can tell you EXACTLY what is going to be paid and it's about 30 to 38 percent of what is billed.

Medi Cal aka EDS a 'FEDERAL' Corporation et al is the worst. They pay 10 cents on the dollar when they decide to pay. You can bill them 160 dollars and they will pay you 20 dollars. You can lose money with MEDI CAL and make it up in volume. A REALLY SHlT HOLE OF A SYSTEM. The only people who benefit from MEDI CAL are the Bureaucrats that administrate it.
